Overview:
The Kreature that jets through the oceans of Dimentiara, the Pentapus. Much like the Cephalopods of old earth, the Pentapus is very close in appearance, the differences being five limbs, quills on it head and cheeks, and of course the blade tips on the end of all five tentacles

Basic powers/weapons:

Poison barbs
The quills on its head are highly venomous and can paralyze or even kill an opponent who tries to bite the Pentapus, even a scratch will cause damage. These barbs erect up when the Pentapus become agitated, when not provoked they are relaxed and lowered upon the cranial area almost like being matted down.

Camoflage
The Pentapuses skin cells have a unique ability to change color and can give the cephalopod a limited amount of invisibility. It will blend into its surroundings in an attempt to hide from larger foes.

Ink jets
The three shot ink tubes around it body are the perfect way to confuse an enemy and flee the scene when an is too powerful. Jetting out gallons of inky substance into water and jetting away.

Blade tip tentacles
Much like the barbs on its “face” the Pentapus has blade tips on it’s tentacles that have a weaker venom than those in the barbs. These blades are used to further catch prey, aiding the suction cups by giving the prey a dose of venom that causes paralysis.

Beak
Though not overly effective as a cannon weapon, the Pentapuses razor sharp beak cuts down food to smaller sizes and in a death struggle with another Kreature will begin biting the opponent until it lets go.

Disposition:
Usually very placid when coasting through the sea, only getting aggressive as it gets progressively closer to prey it is hunting. Even during the strike it is calm. The only time the Pentapus would get agitated is when another predator is after it.

Diet:
The Pentapus is a carnivore/ scavenger, hunting smaller prey or if the situation presents itself, eating leftovers from a larger Kreatures’ kill.

Habitat:
This cephalopod is very adaptable when it comes to living in the ocean, being found from the deepest trenches to the shallow coastlines. This drastic change in environment also changes the size of the Kreature, getting bigger as it goes deeper.

Strengths:
The Pentapus is a patient hunter and can stalk prey for days, then when the time is right, it will strike with its blades and paralyze the victim giving it the chance to eat. On top of patience, with the power of it’s tri-tube ink jets, in the event of it becoming prey, the Pentapus can out swim most predators and confuse it with a cloud of ink.

Weakness:
Lives mainly in water and although has been sighted on beaches, it can only survive out of water for more than thirty minutes. though highly inteligent in problem solving and puzzles, it does not have a sense of consequence and there can get into hairy situations easily.
